SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for LDC/JSA and most DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
However, for DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, SSC and Ministry of Culture, candidates must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
Candidates appearing in the 12th examination can also apply, provided they obtain the required qualification by 07 October 2026.
SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The prescribed age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2026. Candidates should have been born between 02 August 1999 and 01 August 2008.
Age relaxation is available according to Government of India rules, including 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PwBD candidates, subject to applicable conditions.

For Tier-II Sections I, II and III, 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
